Nationally recognized and trusted nonprofit organization seeking a Donation Coordinator. The Donation Coordinator receives inbound calls from individuals and organizations that wish to donate material goods to our charity. Through conversation the Donation Coordinator evaluates the suitability of those donations and, as appropriate, schedules transportation of those items with delivery teams.
We are seeking skilled conversationalists to build relationships with our local donors, screen potential donations effectively over the phone, and schedule truck routes that keep our operations running smoothly.
The successful candidate exhibits excellent customer service skills, a strong ability to analyze details, and a knack for asking probing questions to gather more information.

Schedule & Pay:
- Full time - 40 hours/week – Day shift
- Saturday availability required - Days off are typically Sunday plus one weekday. Not guaranteed to be contiguous.
- This is NOT a remote position - This position mostly involves conducting phone calls in an office setting within a retail location.
- Pay range is $18-$20 per hour, paid weekly

Responsibilities:
- Be reliable, punctual, and ready to work full-time (typically 40hrs/5 days a week)
- Provide friendly and professional communication with our community of donors
- Return as many as 35-55 calls per day depending on the season
- Tactfully decline donations that are not a good fit for our operations
- Coordinate the logistical aspects of meeting client needs using Excel/Google Sheets
- Regularly receive and thrive on ongoing training to improve your screening/scheduling
- Communicate with team members and management about route notes and feedback
- Provide other assistance as appropriate when the phones are slower
- Make judgment calls, think on your feet, and solve problems while learning something new every day!
Qualifications:
Customer service experience is a must, and any experience with Excel/Google Sheets is strongly preferred. We are looking for someone with strong communication & interpersonal skills who can multi-task effectively and enjoys talking to people over the phone.
- Be at least 18 years old
- No convictions related to theft, violence, or sexual assault
- Willing to work on-site, this is NOT a remote position
- Customer service experience required
- Call center/phone experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets required
- Logistics or scheduling experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- You must enjoy talking to people over the phone and be comfortable doing so without a script
