American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a Birth Center setting, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to circulate C-sections and perform baby catching/receiving.

Birth Center unit within a hospital setting
-
12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
-
20-bed unit consisting of 12 L&D beds, 8 PP/AP beds (including 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 ORs), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
-
Patient population includes antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
-
No on-call requirements

Epic EMR (strongly preferred)

Teal scrubs are provided by the facility

Active WA RN license or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required

Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring

Must be proficient in cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, amnioinfusions, epidural assistance, fetal monitoring, IV placement, and Pitocin administration

Must be able to circulate C-sections

Baby catching/receiving skills required

Proficiency in APGAR scoring and breastfeeding education required

One supervisor-level reference required for consideration; a second reference will be required prior to start

Comfort with all aspects of postpartum care from transition through discharge for both mom and baby is strongly preferred

Scrub experience is a bonus — a Scrub Tech is always on site, but scrub-trained RNs may be called upon for sick call coverage

A Nurse Practitioner is available on call for support

Multilingual skills (Russian or Spanish) are preferred due to the patient population served
