Job Description:
CDL Class A Driver - Relief Route (San Bernardino, CA to Middletown, PA) (FedEx Custom Critical)
We are hiring a CDL Class A driver for a dedicated relief route supporting an established team operation. This position covers a consistent long-haul lane and is responsible for maintaining service while primary drivers are off.
This is a high-responsibility role for a driver who can step in, run efficiently, and follow a structured schedule.
Route Details:
San Bernardino, CA to Middletown, PA and back
Dedicated lane coverage (relief position)
Consistent round-trip structure
Schedule:
Start: Wednesday early morning (approximately 2:00 AM)
Route typically completes by Sunday
Reset: Monday and Tuesday
Out 3-4 weeks per assignment
Equipment & Freight:
53FT Dry Van
Drop and Hook Freight
No-Touch Freight
Compensation:
$2,000 per week when running
Paid per active assignment
Travel:
Travel required to and from assignment start location
Travel stipend provided
Additional travel stipend provided after every 4 weeks
Requirements:
CDL Class A license (required)
Must have experience operating 53FT dry van
Must be able to stay out 3-4 weeks at a time
Must be reliable and able to follow dispatch schedules
Must be comfortable running long-haul OTR routes
Pre-Screening Requirements:
Must be willing to run assigned routes as dispatched
Must be available for early morning dispatch (2:00 AM start)
Must understand this is a relief position (not a fixed weekly schedule)
Compensation Range:
Minimum: $2,000 per week (when running)
Maximum: Based on availability and assignment frequency
Important:
CDL Class A only
This is not a straight truck or Sprinter position
Only applicants with 53FT dry van experience will be considered
