EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position focuses on supporting children and families who are experiencing abuse or neglect through direct service and community-based work. As a County Caseworker 2, you will perform the following duties:

Direct Service: Conduct assessments, investigations, and case management for identified cases

Supportive Counseling: Provide guidance to children and families in areas such as home safety, budgeting, and daily living skills

Child Placement: Arrange and monitor foster care placements when necessary

Community Visits: Travel to homes, hospitals, and community settings to meet family needs
-
Service Coordination: Make referrals and advocate for services that improve outcomes for children and youth
Work Schedule and Additional Information:-
Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30 minute lunch.

Telework: No telework for the first six (6) months of employment. After an employee has completed six (6) months of employment and has regular status, there may be opportunities for hybrid work, per the program offices' hybrid schedule. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
