JOB SCOPE:
Interkal is seeking a Maintenance Technician for light industrial maintenance
Pay: $20.34/hour
An industrial maintenance technician completes basic repairs and maintains machinery in manufacturing and industrial settings to prevent downtime and ensure safety and efficiency. Key responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and using diagnostic tools and technical manuals to ensure equipment functions correctly.
Responsibilities

Repair: Install, replace, and repair machine parts and attachments. Diagnose and fix problems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.

Preventive Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform regular upkeep on machinery to prevent breakdowns.

Troubleshooting: Observe and test mechanical operation to detect problems and determine the cause of malfunctions.

System Maintenance: Service mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, which may include obtaining OSHA certifications.

Technical Skills: Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.

Record Keeping: Maintain logs of maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Typically requires at least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics; excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills; ability to work with minimal supervision; proficiency with tools and diagnostics; physical ability to lift heavy objects.
Work environment

Setting: Primarily in factories, plants, or manufacturing facilities.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm. Some overtime may be required including Fridays and/or Saturdays.
