LIQUOR STORE CASHIER
About the Role
We're looking for a friendly, reliable cashier to join our team. This is primarily a customer-facing sales role in a relaxed, welcoming store environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate the register: ring up sales, process cash/card/digital payments, handle returns and exchanges accurately
- Check ID and verify age for all alcohol and tobacco purchases per state/local law
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Restock shelves, coolers, and displays; keep the store clean and organized
- Monitor inventory levels and flag low stock to management
- Handle basic customer questions about products (brands, pricing, promotions)
- Maintain a secure cash drawer and follow loss-prevention procedures
- Assist with light cleaning duties (sweeping, wiping counters, organizing coolers)
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Friendly, customer-service oriented attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-30 lbs (stocking)
- No experience necessary — training provided
