Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various functions essential to organizational success. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and familiarity with HRIS systems.
Responsibilities
- Benefits administration – ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in carrier’s system and the accuracy of monthly billing statements.
- Enter benefit deductions in payroll system at the proper time.
- Respond to 401(k) inquiries related to plan changes and enrollments
- Initiate open enrollment notices
- Respond to Employment verifications
- Onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Assist in the compliance of HR/Employment laws
- Administer company policies and procedures
- Assist with responses to unemployment claims
- Respond to various inquiries from employees and supervisors
- Maintain employee files
- Data entry and filing
- Manage the On the Job Training employees (OJT Trainees) – File report and identify new trainees. Work with supervisors.
- Perform other duties assigned
Qualifications
- 1 or more years Human Resources experience
- Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA related Federal and State laws
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organization skills
- Must have strong customer service mindset and excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Bilingual – Fluent English/Spanish required
Pay depends on experience
