Our training center is seeking high-caliber healthcare professionals to deliver advanced life support training to our healthcare partners and clinical organizations. In this role, you will lead advanced courses, evaluate complex clinical skills, and ensure full compliance with American Heart Association (AHA) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines.
This position requires requires local travel to various healthcare partner facilities across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, compliant instruction for advanced certification courses (ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP).
- Facilitate realistic mega-code simulations, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and team-dynamics training.
- Accurately evaluate student clinical skills and grade written examinations per AHA/AAP guidelines
- Ensure all course roster paperwork is completed accurately for prompt card processing.
- Maintain a professional, supportive learning environment tailored for peer healthcare professionals.
Travel & Work Environment:
- Variable Job Sites: Classes are conducted on-site at various healthcare facilities, hospitals, and clinics.
- Local Travel Required: Ability to travel to different training sites across the Southern California area as scheduled.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle to transport compact training materials/supplies to offsite locations when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold a current, valid AHA Instructor Certification in at least one of the following: ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor, or NRP Instructor (AAP).
- Active California clinical license strongly preferred (e.g., Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, MD).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience actively teaching advanced life support courses.
- High competence in ECG rhythm recognition, resuscitation pharmacology, and advanced airway management.
