Beaver River is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeepers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a combination of physical stamina, knowledge of landscaping techniques, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. The Groundskeepers will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting for all visitors.
Duties
- Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools to maintain gardens, flower beds, and other landscaped areas.
- Irrigate plants and lawns to ensure proper hydration and growth.
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Maintain equipment used in groundskeeping activities, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
- Assist in planting new trees, shrubs, and flowers as needed to enhance the landscape.
- Remove debris, leaves, and litter from outdoor areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Collaborate with team members to plan seasonal landscaping projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including lawn care techniques and garden management.
- Experience in groundskeeping with a keen eye for detail in maintaining outdoor spaces.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance requirements.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
- Starting pay: $18.50 will pay more based on experience!
