Role Overview
The Sales Associate is responsible for driving new client acquisition, maintaining a healthy pipeline, and supporting revenue growth through client retention and expansion. This role is not purely transactional — it requires a focus on bringing in high-quality clients who are likely to stay, convert, and grow.
The ideal candidate understands that successful sales in this role means ensuring no qualified lead is lost and that each client is a strong long-term fit.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Respond to and follow up with all new inbound leads within 24 hours
- Conduct outreach to cold and warm, qualified leads
- Schedule and confirm discovery calls
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
- Track lead status and ensure no opportunities are missed
- Communicate with the CEO on pipeline activity and priorities
Weekly Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery calls and close new clients
- Follow up with all active prospects in the pipeline
- Re-engage cold or stalled leads
- Identify and recommend opportunities for client upgrades or expanded services
- Review pipeline metrics (lead volume, conversion rates, deal status)
- Ensure all prospects move through the pipeline in a timely manner
Monthly Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed new client acquisition targets
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified leads
- Support client retention by ensuring strong initial fit and expectations
- Identify revenue expansion opportunities within existing clients
- Contribute to achieving overall revenue goals without exceeding operational capacity
- Provide insights on lead quality, objections, and sales trends
Performance Expectations
Success in this role is measured by:
- Number of qualified clients closed
- Client retention (clients staying 6+ months)
- Pipeline health and consistency
- Conversion rate from lead to client
- Revenue generated from both new and expanded clients
Compensation Structure
- 20% commission on first month revenue for new clients
- 5% monthly residual commission for up to 6 months per client
- 10% commission on any client upgrades or additional revenue
- $200–$300 bonus for qualified clients placed on waitlist (when at capacity)
- Additional bonuses tied to client retention and performance
