Job Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver
Job Summary
Integrity Medical Transport is seeking reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to join our growing team in the Hampton Roads area. Our drivers play a critical role in ensuring patients arrive safely and on time to medical appointments, dialysis treatments, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
This position requires professionalism, excellent customer service, and the ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges. Drivers must follow all safety protocols, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and communicate effectively with dispatch to ensure efficient trip coordination.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, dialysis centers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, including wheelchair and stretcher transports when necessary
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices properly according to safety standards
- Communicate with dispatch regarding trip updates, delays, or changes in schedules
- Provide professional and compassionate service to all passengers
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance concerns promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and transportation safety regulations
- Use dispatch and routing systems such as WellRyde or similar NEMT platforms
- Ensure proper documentation of trips, mileage, and passenger logs
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to assist passengers with mobility devices and lift up to 75lbs or more when necessary
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Experience in transportation, paratransit, EMS, or NEMT preferred but not required
Preferred Experience
- Wheelchair or stretcher transport experience
- Knowledge of GPS navigation and dispatch systems
- Experience working with elderly or disabled passengers

- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Flexible scheduling including weekday and weekend shifts
