Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. As a Budtender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and education to our customers in a dispensary setting. Your primary goal will be to assist customers in selecting the right products based on their preferences and needs, ensuring a positive and informative experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dispensary environment and complying with all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the dispensary, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Provide accurate information and educate customers about different strains, products, consumption methods, and effects.
- Assess customer preferences and needs to recommend suitable products.
- Assist customers in making informed decisions by explaining product features, benefits, and potential risks.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Accurately label and package cannabis products for sale and display.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving and organizing deliveries.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a safe environment for both customers and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive customer information.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Stay informed about new products and developments in the cannabis/hemp industry to provide the best recommendations to customers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum age requirement 21.
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- In-depth knowledge of cannabis strains, products, consumption methods, and effects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building customer relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and inventory management.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Knowledge of local and state cannabis laws and regulations (training can be provided if necessary).
