Lead Remodel Carpenter

We are a growing residential remodeling company serving West Michigan. We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and full interior remodels.
Our projects require a high level of craftsmanship, organization, and professionalism. We run clean job sites, follow clear scopes of work, and expect our team to take pride in doing things the right way.
We are currently looking for experienced carpenters who can step into active remodeling projects with minimal training and contribute immediately.
Position Overview
This role is for a skilled residential remodel carpenter who is comfortable working across multiple phases of a project — from framing and layout through finish carpentry.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Can work independently
- Understands residential construction sequencing
- Takes ownership of their work
- Produces clean, professional results without constant supervision
You’ll work directly with our team on kitchens, bathrooms, additions, basements, and interior remodeling projects.
Pay is based on experience, typically $24–$28/hr.
Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry on active remodeling projects
- Layout and install framing, blocking, and structural modifications as needed
- Install trim, doors, cabinetry, flooring, and other finish elements
- Assist with or perform tile installation (or be willing to learn tile work)
- Read and follow scopes of work, drawings, and project plans
- Identify issues early and communicate solutions with the team
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and protect finished areas
- Work efficiently while maintaining high craftsmanship standards
- Coordinate with other trades on site to keep projects moving
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in residential remodeling or carpentry
- Comfortable with both rough and finish carpentry
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and jobsite workflow
- Experience with tools such as table saw, miter saw, nailers, levels, layout tools, etc.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders
Tile experience is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
