Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and restoring structures, working on diverse projects that range from commercial to residential sites. Your hands-on contribution will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in various aspects of construction while contributing to impactful building projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including site cleanup and material organization
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks such as moving materials, tools, and equipment around the site
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to assist with tasks like concrete mixing, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction
- Support concrete-related activities including pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping to ensure smooth application
- Install rebar, metal studs, framing components, and formwork according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Interpret construction plans and blueprint specifications to accurately execute assigned tasks
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment
- Experience with construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or technical drawings
- Proficiency in concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and related masonry work
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and proper use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence
- Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in rebar installation, metal stud framing, stucco application, caulking, plastering, tile laying, flooring installation, restoration work, masonry techniques, concrete pumping operations, and concrete cutting
