About RK Motors
RK Motors is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for a Monday-Friday position paying $28-$40 per hour. The shop is looking for a strong B-Level or A-Level technician who can handle general repair, diagnostics, drivability, electrical work, maintenance, and vehicle inspections. RK Motors is a long-established independent repair shop with seven bays, five lifts, a collaborative team, and employees who have built long tenures with the business. The shop services a mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles and offers paid training, ASE reimbursement, insurance benefits, PTO, and paid holidays.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair automotive mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
- Perform intermediate to advanced automotive diagnostics, including emissions-related failures and occasional vehicle network or communication issues.
- Complete general mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
- Perform suspension system diagnosis and repair, including work on vehicles affected by rust and corrosion common to the region.
- Inspect vehicles and document findings using the shop's current paper inspection process.
- Complete removal and replacement work and other general automotive repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians as vehicles and workflow move between service bays.
- Coordinate repair findings with the Service Advisor and shop owner, who handle estimates and parts ordering.
Qualifications

At least 5 years of automotive repair experience.
- Intermediate to advanced automotive diagnostic ability.
- Experience with general repair, drivability, electrical systems, maintenance, and suspension work.
- Ability to diagnose emissions-related problems and troubleshoot vehicle communication or network concerns.
- Experience working on vehicles with rust and corrosion, particularly during suspension and undercarriage repairs.
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
- Must provide personal tools needed to perform the assigned technician work.

Hourly pay of $28-$40 per hour, depending on the technician level and job-related experience and skills.
