Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LPN/RN Night Shift Charge Nurse to oversee patient care during overnight hours. This leadership role involves coordinating nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during night shifts, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to policies
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Manage acute pain management for diverse patient populations
- Document medical records accurately using EMR/EHR system
- Ensure infection control practices are maintained according standards and protocols
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive medical documentation
Qualifications
- Valid LPN or RN license with current state licensure required
- Demonstrated expertise in care procedures including tube feeding, sterile processing, and infection control techniques
- Ability to manage complex cases involving acute pain management, hospice care, dialysis or home & community care environments
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise night shift staff effectively
- Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education
This role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice during overnight hours while supporting a compassionate environment for patients and staff alike.
Pay: $42.00 per hour
