Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized wound care treatment to home health patients. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in wound management, excellent patient education abilities, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. This position offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patients’ recovery and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, manage, and treat acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, and other complex wound conditions
- Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and infection control procedures as needed
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care techniques, infection prevention, and proper healing practices
- Monitor and document wound progression, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Administer medications, wound vac therapy, and other prescribed treatments
- Ensure compliance with agency protocols, state regulations, and best practices in wound care
- Assess, manage, and provide skilled nursing care for patients requiring specialty services, including PICC lines, Ports, Central Venous Catheters (CVCs), Foley catheters, infusion therapy, laboratory specimen collection, and other skilled nursing interventions as needed within the assigned service area.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in the state of Texas
- Certified Wound Care Nurse (WCN, WCC, CWOCN, or similar) preferred
- Minimum of one year of wound care experience (home health experience REQUIRED)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education abilities
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned service areas
- Proficiency in electronic documentation systems (preferred)

Pay: $120,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
