About the Role
We are a growing distribution company looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our in-house accounting team. This is a hands-on role where you'll own the AR process end-to-end, support month-end close, and assist with quarterly tax filings.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle including invoicing, collections, and cash application
- Monitor and maintain the AR aging report; follow up on past-due accounts proactively
- Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis
- Perform month-end close procedures in QuickBooks including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit readiness
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and management on billing discrepancies and customer account issues
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, with significant AR responsibility
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) — you should know it well
- Strong understanding of general ledger, accruals, and month-end close
- Experience with quarterly tax filings a plus
- Distribution, wholesale, or product-based industry experience preferred
- High attention to detail and a process-driven mindset
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple deadlines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Pay: $64,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
