We are seeking a motivated and skilled Body Shop Technician and Painter to join our dynamic automotive repair team. Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel alignment, and sheet metal work using hand tools, power tools, MIG welding, and soldering techniques.
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primer using airless paint spraying equipment.
- Execute auto painting and finishing with attention to detail, ensuring a smooth, flawless surface that matches factory specifications.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs or flaws related to auto glass replacement, auto restoration projects, or mechanical issues.
- Use fabrication skills to modify or replace damaged panels or parts, utilizing sheet metal techniques and welding expertise.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs or assembly work when needed to support overall vehicle restoration projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of power tools.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and professionally.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair and painting preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, welding techniques, soldering, and fabrication processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and vehicle maintenance.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, auto glass replacement equipment, and airless paint sprayers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during auto painting or bodywork tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with clear communication abilities.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work, auto body repair standards, and automotive repair best practices. Pay: $350.00 - $650.00 per week
