Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to oversee construction projects and lead a team of skilled workers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of construction processes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the job site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and schedule project activities, managing resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality standards are met and provide guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs and reports.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in construction techniques and safety protocols.
- Facilitate communication between crew members, subcontractors, and management to ensure smooth workflow.
- Review contracts and blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Review timecards for completeness and accuracy, including start/end times, breaks, and job allocations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years commercial construction experience holding a Foreman role.
- Proficient in OSHA regulations to ensure workplace safety.
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera, HeavyBid, Prolog, Bluebeam, and ProCore.
- Strong skills in construction estimating and project scheduling.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and contracts effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, maintain professionalism, and meet performance expectations
Requirements
- Leadership skills that motivate, build respect, and express a firm and fair attitude when directing workers.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required for job-related travel.
