Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including drink service and food handling in accordance with sanitation standards
- Process cash and credit transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transaction processing and cash handling
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, wine pairings, spirits, and food safety protocols to assist guests effectively
- Support kitchen staff by bussing tables, assisting with food preparation when needed, and ensuring cleanliness standards are upheld
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and creating a welcoming environment
- Assist with sanitation practices including proper food handling, cleaning tables, and adhering to health regulations in the food industry
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Proven background in food service with a strong understanding of hospitality principles and guest relations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service skills
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
- Strong communication skills combined with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in the food industry
Pay: $25.24 - $30.40 per hour
