Sagewood Infant Collective is a small, community-based program in Exeter, NH serving infants and young toddlers and preschoolers (up to 5 years). This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced early childhood educator who enjoys working directly with children and staff while supporting the daily operations of a small program.
Role Overview
The Part time Director is an on-site leader who supports daily program operations, staff, and families while maintaining a strong classroom presence. This role includes both leadership responsibilities and working directly in a classroom, with administrative oversight and support provided by ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Leadership
- Support day-to-day program operations
- Serve as a consistent, calm leadership presence for staff and families
- Communicate clearly and professionally with families
- Partner with ownership on staffing, scheduling, and program planning
- Support NH child care licensing and compliance requirements
Classroom Support
- Work directly with infants, young toddlers & preschool age
- Support caregiving routines, transitions, and classroom flow
- Model responsive, relationship-based care
- Help ensure consistency across caregivers and daily routines
Qualifications
Meets NH Director requirements
Experience in early childhood education (infant/toddler experience strongly preferred)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Calm, confident, and collaborative leadership style
Interest in growing within a small, relationship-centered program
Schedule & Compensation
Part-time: approximately 30-35 hours per week
Flexible weekday schedule
Willing to compensate based on experience and qualifications
