Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Programmer role based in Houston, TX. We seek a highly skilled and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Java developer. As a Java developer at our company, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications that meet the needs of our company. You will also work on numerous projects, including web applications, mobile applications, and enterprise-level software systems, in an exciting, collaborative work environment.
This position is onsite at our Houston, Texas, office. We are not currently offering relocation assistance, and we are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Objectives and tasks of this role
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications at the company.
- Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements.
- Develop best practices for the company and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders.
- Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions in response to production issues.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Required skills and qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration.
- 1+ years of experience in software development, database management, or a role with similar responsibilities.
- Expertise in developing web applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid foundation in Java and front-end web application technologies.
- Framework Familiarity: Experience with Java/Jakarta EE and Java Server Faces, Primefaces, and Eclipselink.
- Databases: Familiarity with Relational Databases such as MySQL and MariaDB.
- Tools and Methodologies: Basic understanding of Subversion, Maven, and contemporary testing methodologies to support development and deployment processes.
