Family Based Mental Health Worker:
A FBMHS Worker must have a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field and one year of work experience with children and/or families. The FBMHS worker and FBMH S Professional work as a team to provide therapy to a children/youth and their families. These two therapists work with the family to stabilize the child(ren) by increasing the quality of relationships and functioning within the family system and community. As a team, the therapists provide: a comprehensive 30 day initial assessment, family therapy, child individual therapy, sibling therapy, parenting sessions/support, case management & assistance/advocacy within the community. These services are provided in the home, school and community. Each FBMHS therapist takes part in an on-call rotation to provide crisis support. FBMHS workers and professionals be willing to work a flex schedule. FBI, Childline and Criminal background checks are required.
