Automotive Sales Consultant
Location: Kimberly WI
The Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for driving equipment sales and providing complete solutions for automotive and government customers. This role focuses on identifying customer needs, designing equipment layouts, recommending appropriate products, and delivering accurate proposals and estimates. The Automotive Sales Consultant works closely with Service, Project Management, and Accounting teams to ensure successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and timely payment collection.
The primary objective of this role is to generate sales growth while ensuring customers receive properly designed, compliant, and efficient equipment solutions. This includes managing the sales process from initial consultation through proposal, order execution, and post-sale support.

Promote and sell automotive shop equipment including Rotary lifts (LD & HD), Rotary & Coats wheel service equipment, Graco & Balcrank lubrication systems, Champion air compressor systems, Eurovent exhaust extraction systems, waste oil evacuation systems, and fueling systems.

Develop and maintain relationships with automotive and government customers.

Identify customer needs and recommend equipment solutions that align with operational requirements and manufacturer specifications.

Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process.
Equipment Planning and Proposal Development

Create equipment layouts based on manufacturer recommendations and customer facility requirements.

Select appropriate equipment to meet customer needs, efficiency goals, and compliance standards.

Develop detailed proposals outlining equipment specifications, scope, and pricing.

Prepare “oneshot” proposals and generate estimates upon project award.

Ensure all proposals accurately reflect job requirements and customer expectations.

Collaborate with Project Management on awarded jobs, including assisting with change orders and scope adjustments.

Work with the Service Department to generate lift repair quotes and manage servicerelated opportunities.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper execution of sold projects.

Support order processing and ensure accurate equipment delivery timelines.
Customer Support and Issue Resolution

Assist customers with warranty submissions, including Rotary warranty claims.

Provide ongoing support for equipment orders and customer inquiries.

Work with Accounting to assist in collections when payment issues arise.

Help resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner to maintain strong relationships.

Maintain accurate sales records, proposals, and customer documentation.

Track opportunities, quotes, and project status updates.

Ensure all required documentation is completed for orders, warranties, and service coordination.

Stay informed on product lines, manufacturer updates, and industry trends.

Support internal teams as needed to drive overall branch success.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience in equipment sales, preferably within automotive, industrial, or government sectors.

Ability to understand technical product specifications and apply them to customer needs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with CRM or ERP systems preferred.

Familiarity with proposal creation and estimating tools is a plus.
