Part-Time Nanny & House Manager
Position Overview-
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and reliable Part-Time Nanny & House Manager to support our busy household. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of childcare and home organization.
Our child is a bright, generally self-sufficient 5-year-old who attends preschool half days. The ideal candidate will provide light care for him while taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of our home—ensuring things run smoothly, stay organized, and that our schedule remains perfectly coordinated.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare
*Routine Care: Prepare healthy meals/snacks and snacks for our 5-year-old.
*Hygiene Support: Provide assistance with potty/hygiene routines and handwashing.
*Engagement: Keep him safely engaged during transitions or downtime (though he is great at independent play and prefers to play on his own a majority of the time).
*Calendar & Schedule Management (High Priority)
*Time-Off Coordination: Act as the primary coordinator for the family childcare calendar. If you need time off, you will proactively communicate and rearrange schedules with us and/or our extended family members to ensure seamless childcare coverage is locked in ahead of time. This has been a huge point of stress in our household, trying to keep our schedules organized and keep track of any one-off schedule/availabilty changes, vacations, etc. Assistance with organizing this ahead of time will be a huge help.
*Family Scheduling: Help schedule appointments (home maintenance, family appointments, etc.) as needed.
House Management & Organization
*Decluttering & Spatial Organization: Maintain order in common areas, play spaces, and standard living zones. Implement functional organization systems for toys, clothes, and household items.
*Pet Care: Perform light tasks for our family dog (e.g., letting them out in the yard, refreshing water, or feeding).
*Occasional Meal Prep: Help with basic family meal prep (chopping veggies, assembling ingredients, or prepping simple dishes) to help our evenings run smoother on occasion.
*General Upkeep: Handle light household tasks to keep the home running efficiently (e.g., wiping counters, vacuuming playroom, running quick errands).
Qualifications & Requirements
*Experience: Proven experience in childcare, nanny roles, personal assistant positions, or household management. Other experience may be considered.
*Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills are a must. You should be comfortable coordinating schedules with multiple family members.
*Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who can look around a room, see what needs to be done or organized, and take initiative.
*Pet-Friendly: Must love dogs and be comfortable handling basic pet care tasks.
*Logistics: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean background check.
Job Details
*Schedule: Wednesdays and Fridays- specific times can be flexible to a degree and can be discussed further.
*Compensation: Negotiable-DOE
* Location: Union Hills and 19th Street, Phoenix, AZ
