Responsibilities
- Assist to disassemble and assemble office furniture. Safely load, unload, and transport household or commercial belongings using appropriate moving equipment such as dollies, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Assist customers with packing, wrapping, and securing items to prevent damage during transit.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times, including storage areas and moving equipment.
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers to coordinate moving schedules and address any concerns promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures related to driving, lifting, and operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Document all move details accurately in logs or delivery records and report any issues or damages immediately.
- Assist with warehouse tasks when not actively engaged in moving activities, including inventory management or equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in furniture dis-assemble and assemble is a must.
- Experience with delivery driving, especially using box trucks or <PERSON> drivers, is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physical strength and stamina are necessary for success in this role.
- Familiarity with moving procedures, including packing techniques and handling fragile items.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously during loading/unloading and driving activities.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
