Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Parts Room Associate, where you'll be the vital link in our parts supply chain and Class 8 truck and trailer parts management. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the seamless flow of parts and materials essential for semi-truck maintenance and repair. Your expertise will help optimize inventory accuracy, support procurement processes, and enhance customer satisfaction through efficient parts handling.
Duties
- Manage and organize the parts room inventory, ensuring accurate tracking using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and order management software
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of truck parts, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) components, and related equipment
- Pick, pack, and prepare parts for internal diesel technicians
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations
- Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate procurement, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of parts
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move heavy or bulky items within the storage area
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance supplies and equipment repairs
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipment details, updating inventory records, and managing documentation
- Assist with demand planning by monitoring usage trends and forecasting future needs based on manufacturing schedules or service demands
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests or external inquiries regarding parts availability
- Strong working knowledge of parts for diesel engines and truck/trailer components
Experience
- Familiarity with Class 8 diagnostics, repair procedures, and dealership service processes is a plus.
- Prefer 2-3 years of experience in Class 8 truck/trailer parts.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment; certification preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to Class 8 truck/trailer equipment repair is a plus.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
- Valid Driver's license with a clean record (CDL A is a major plus).
Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,250.00 per week
