Job Description
Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counting, vendor kanbans, material flow, and SAP transactions in a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Receiving, Warehouse, Finance, and Suppliers to prevent material shortages, resolve inventory issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and SAP inventory accuracy.
2. Manage vendor kanbans, place releases, track shipments, and expedite deliveries.
3. Troubleshoot SAP and inventory transaction issues for production teams.
4. Support warehouse operations, material picking, receiving, and inventory control.
5. Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly logistics and inventory reports.
6. Manage obsolete, excess, expired, and scrap material processes.
7. Work with Finance and Accounting on inventory analysis and valuation updates.
8. Train employees on cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and SAP processes.
9. Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Serve as backup within various logistics functions as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience plus 1+ year of logistics or inventory experience.
- Experience in logistics, inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain environments.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong data entry, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Forklift experience/certification preferred.
- Experience with inventory audits, cycle counting, kanban systems, and manufacturing operations.
- Background in regulated or high-volume manufacturing environments is a plus.
