We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sourdough & Morning Baker to join our small, dedicated team. We’re a community-focused bakery that values craftsmanship, consistency, and care in everything we make—from our naturally leavened breads to the environment we create for our customers and staff.
About the role
This role will be cross-trained to perform morning bakes as well as play a role in producing high-quality, naturally fermented breads using traditional methods. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who loves working with dough, understands fermentation, and takes pride in their craft.
Responsibilities
- Mixing, fermenting, shaping, and baking sourdough breads
- Maintaining consistent quality, timing, and flavor
- Managing starters and doughs with care and attention
- Keeping a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
- Working collaboratively with the entire bakery team
- Baking bread in the morning with a strong attention to detail
- Managing bread inventory throughout the day by baking as needed
- Assist in prep tasks such as making spreads, mixing doughs, weighing ingredients, dishes, etc.
What we’re looking for
- MUST have experience baking sourdough in a professional or high-volume setting
- A strong understanding of fermentation and dough handling
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
- Early-morning availability and physical stamina for bakery work; ability to lift 50 lbs
- A genuine appreciation for simple, well-made food
