In 2025, more than 52 million passengers traveled through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), making it one of the busiest airports in the United States and a key hub in the nation's fifth-largest city. PHX is the largest of three airports in the Phoenix Airport System, which also includes Deer Valley and Goodyear airports, operated by the City of Phoenix Aviation Department (AVN). Together, these airports generate an annual economic impact of over $44 billion.
The Aviation Department has a vacancy for a Maintenance Planner and Scheduler position. This position will be responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance control processes required to develop an effective, and efficient work plan for preventative maintenance and repair work for various work groups within the Facilities and Services Division. This position will plan, and schedule work processes and materials, primarily using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This position plays a key role in improving the efficiency, quality, and productivity of work for the Aviation Departments Facilities Division and supports the management team in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of the work conducted within each assigned section.
This position will provide various degrees of support to maintain existing facilities associated with Sky Harbor International Airport, Deer Valley Airport, and Goodyear Airport. Work Hours may vary and include nights, weekends and holidays. The Aviation Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will report to an Aviation Superintendent, Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, or Aviation Supervisor III.
