Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembling mechanical components and systems, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively. The job includes setting up and operating hardware insertion machines (Heager, PEM). Work schedule is 7am to 3:30 pm, Mon - Fri.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions to assemble mechanical components accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble products according to specifications.
- Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure they meet the company's standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Document assembly processes and maintain records of completed work.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and resolve any production issues.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of assembly equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a mechanical assembler or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow instructions
- Sheet Metal job shop experience
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly is a plus.
- 5 years’ experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment, including assembling cabinets and/or chassis is ideal.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs pounds.
- Overtime may be required based on production needs.
