E SSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Support student performance (achievement and growth) via a student-centered coaching
m odel
- Provide job-embedded professional development towards the district's instructional
framework and focus in order to increase student performance across all content areas
- S upport the district’s defined curriculum, instructional models and materials and assessment
tools and plans across content areas
- Provide individualized, classroom-based support to build teacher efficacy in planning,
sequencing and scaffolding instruction
- Facilitate coaching cycles with individuals and PLCs which includes classroom
o bservations, co-teaching, and modeling
- B uild collaborative partnerships with building administrators in order to build a strong culture
supportive of job-embedded professional learning
- Build strong relationships with teachers that can be leveraged to support teacher growth
and risk-taking
- Support building and district improvement goals
- Collaborate with building MTSS / School Improvement teams
- Participate in a district-wide Instructional Coach PLC
- Work with teachers that are on a continuum of experience and expertise
- Work alongside curriculum coordinators
- B e supervised by the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment

- W ith elementary instructional experience
- With coaching or other teacher leadership experience
- Interested in being an instructional coach in each and every classroom
- W ho can support teachers in deepening their instructional practice (classroom
management, lesson and unit planning, accessing and utilizing resources, lesson
enactment and more).
