Customer Service & Sail Inventory Associate
Overview
We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and detail‑oriented team member to join our sail loft/consignment operation. In this role, you’ll work directly with customers to help them select the right sails for their boats, receive sails coming in for consignment, and keep our inventory running smoothly. If you enjoy problem‑solving, staying organized, and working in a customer‑focused environment, this is a great opportunity. Sailing knowledge is helpful but not required — we’re happy to train the right person.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Support & Sales
- Assist customers in choosing sails based on their boat type, sailing style, and needs
- Communicate clearly and professionally in person, over the phone, and via email
- Look up sails in our inventory system and help customers understand their options
- Prepare sails for pickup or pack and ship orders accurately and efficiently
Consignment Intake
- Receive sails brought in for consignment
- Complete intake paperwork and contracts with accuracy
- Tag, label, and organize incoming sails so they’re easy to locate later
- Ensure all items are documented correctly in our system
Inventory & Organization
- Locate sails in the warehouse and maintain a clean, well‑organized storage area
- Keep track of stock movement and help maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist with general shop organization and workflow improvements
Experience & QualificationsRequired
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable talking with customers and providing helpful, friendly service
- Ability to stay on top of multiple tasks and follow processes accurately
- Willingness to learn about sails, boat types, and our inventory system
- Ability to lift and move sails (varied weights)
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience in retail, customer service, or warehouse/inventory work
- Familiarity with sailing, sailboats, or marine equipment
- Prior experience with consignment, shipping, or product intake

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
