Our client is a Northwell Health affiliated revenue cycle and practice management company. They are searching for a Anesthesia/Surgical Coder to join their growing team in Chappaqua, NY.
Hybrid Schedule, Full time
- Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Pay: $28-$30/hr
Responsibilities:
- Review handwritten and electronic anesthesia records to identify procedures and diagnoses
- Assign accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes in accordance with current guidelines
- Post charges and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements
- Reconcile posted charges against operating room schedules
- Identify and investigate anesthesia time discrepancies; escalate complex issues as needed
- Maintain minimum 95% coding accuracy and meet daily productivity benchmarks
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding coding questions or issues
- Adhere to all HIPAA and compliance standards
Qualifications:
- Required Certification: CPC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA)
- Minimum 2+ years of professional anesthesia or surgical coding experience
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding guidelines
- Familiarity with EPIC (preferred)
