Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate robotic welding systems using Fanuc and other robotics platforms to meet production specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on robotic welders and associated equipment to minimize downtime.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding processes.
- Perform root cause analysis on equipment malfunctions or quality issues, implementing corrective actions swiftly.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for tooling design, fixture setup, or process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop optimized welding procedures aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
- Monitor vision inspection systems and distributed control systems to verify weld quality and adherence to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in robot programming and operation within a manufacturing environment, preferably with Fanuc or similar robotics systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including tooling setup, machining, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and distributed control systems for automation control.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques to enhance process efficiency and waste reduction.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex issues related to robotics or welding processes.
- Experience working with vision inspection systems and CGMP compliance standards is highly desirable.
