Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday (some days may require more than 8 hours, some weeks may require additional workdays). May be required to attend industry/company functions outside of normal business hours.
Position Summary
The Project Superintendent (PS) will assist the Project Manager to attain production goals and is directly responsible for overseeing the field construction operations within the Region. Superior leadership skills are critical overseeing the field crews in the operations department. The PS will represent HQ Contracting to the customers with the highest level of competence and professionalism.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
The PS must communicate with other HQ Contracting employees, vendors, subcontractors and clients including property-level, mid-level and upper level executives and owners. The SP must have sufficient education, experience and communication skills (oral and written) to effectively discharge the assigned duties. Must have completed OSHA 30 course, or complete one within the first 180 days of employment with HQ Contracting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Lead and mentor construction teams, providing guidance and support to maximize productivity and quality.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or challenges, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and implementing solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred, but not required.
