The Camp Hill School District is seeking candidates for available contracted Instructor positions to support new programming in the Pollock Center.
Acting Instructor (1st-5th Grade) - Stipend: $1,000.00
Position Summary: The 1st - 5th Grade Acting Instructor will be responsible for instructing students in acting for Musical Theatre. Classes will be twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm. Classes will last for 6 weeks, starting Oct 5th and ending Nov 11th for a total of 12 classes.
Reports To: All duties are performed under the supervision of, and report directly to, The Pollock Center Executive Director.
Primary Responsibilities:

Teach acting for Musical Theatre at a level appropriate for elementary schoolers

Guide students through acting exercises and scenes
-
Teach acting clearly and efficiently to individuals and groups
-
Ensure all movement and speech is safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate
-
Ensure a positive class environment that encourages confidence and growth
-
Adapt teaching techniques as required for different ability level
Qualifications:

Experience in directing or teaching acting for youth or educational theatre
-
Strong ability to teach and coach students with varying levels of experience
-
Knowledge of safe movement and speech for young performers
