The Owl Academy is looking for a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our family-owned early childhood program. Located on a beautiful one-acre campus in Littleton, our school provides children with the freedom to explore, take appropriate risks, build independence, and develop a lifelong love of learning through a child-led, nature-inspired approach.

Position Overview
As a PreschoolTeacher, you will help create a warm, engaging classroom environment for children approximately 12 months through 5 years old. You'll work alongside a collaborative teaching team to support children's social-emotional development, foster independence, and provide meaningful learning experiences through play, exploration, and time in nature.
At The Owl Academy, we believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, movement, creativity, and connection—not worksheets or screens.
What You'll Do
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued.
- Build strong relationships with children and families through respectful communication.
- Plan and facilitate child-led learning experiences based on children's interests and developmental needs.
- Spend 2–6 hours outdoors daily, leading nature exploration, outdoor play, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Support children's independence during meals, toileting, dressing, problem-solving, and everyday routines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
- Observe children's growth and document learning through Procare.
- Partner with your teaching team to provide consistent, high-quality care and education.
- Follow Colorado licensing regulations and The Owl Academy's health and safety policies.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing coaching.
Qualifications
- Meets Colorado Early Childhood Teacher qualifications (or is willing to obtain them).
- Colorado PDIS Level 2 or higher preferred.
- Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a licensed early childhood setting.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
- Positive, dependable, and collaborative.
- Passion for outdoor learning, child-led education, and relationship-based teaching.
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds and actively engage with children indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
