About the student
- 12th grade student
- The student needs to work with a tutor to learn Italian so he can attend college next year in Italy.
- The student is a rising 12th grader at McFatter Technical College and High School. He does not know Italian. His sister did 1 year college abroad in Italy and he wants to follow in her footsteps. He just found out that Italy changed the Visa requirements and so now, in order to get a Visa, he has to be able to speak Italian at the B1 level. He will now be required to take a test to prove he is fluent enough to study in the country.
- The student will be taking a beginning Italian class but his parents feel that the class will not be enough for him to learn Italian in time. They want him to work with a private tutor for additional one-on-one support and instruction.
- The student's goal is to get to a B1 Italian language fluency level by the time he applies for his Italian Visa so that he will pass the language portion of the test and be granted his Visa to study in Italy.
- The student wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 5pm-7pm, any day Monday through Friday.
- The student is seeking a tutor who can meet at his home in Davie by Pine Island Park.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have prior experience working with high school students.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching/tutoring Italian.
- Ideal candidates will be fluent in Italian and English.
- Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
MON-FRI: 5:00pm-7:00pm
Pay & Benefits
- $24.00-$27.00 per hour.
