Duration & Type: 12 months Contract with a major pharmaceutical industry client
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts
Responsibilities:
- Critical position to manage budget and contracts for the phase IV research being conducted within Medical Affairs, Center for Outcomes Research (CORE).
- Leading negotiations and milestone tracking in the selection and purchase of electronic medical records data sets required for new and ongoing, large scale observational and prospective phase IV studies in the US.
- Supporting the Research team with the execution of the CORE RWE Research plan, tracking milestones, generating status update reports whilst also supporting the more broad Seqirus RWE Research program by coordinating between the respective cross-functional teams and tracking progress to plan on all RWE research studies.
- Accountable for tracking a complex portfolio of phase IV studies including cost, quality, timeliness, and efficiency.
Required:
- Education: Masters degree in science, medical communication, or business operations
- 4-6 Years of Pharmaceutical, Academic or Healthcare related experience in internal or external scientific research operations; phase IV, observational research experience preferred.
- The ability to project manage a complex portfolio of phase IV studies and a demonstrated ability in strategic thinking to properly influence senior leadership and third-party vendor management.
- A high level of confidence, integrity, and hands-on approach to problem-solving are required as well as a professional executive presence for interacting with and influencing senior management internally.
- Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills and political acumen.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, and presentation skills are required.
- Experience in communicating technical data both internally and externally
- Knowledge of health care financing and delivery is desirable
- Experience working in a matrix team environment is required
- Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing and diverse environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
