Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures on equine patients
- Handle and restrain horses safely using proper techniques to ensure the safety of equines and staff
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary instructions
- Prepare and maintain clinical equipment, supplies, and treatment areas in accordance with aseptic techniques
- Support equine husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, and monitoring health status
- Collect samples for laboratory testing and assist with diagnostic procedures involving animal physiology and anatomy
- Maintain detailed records of patient treatments, medication administration, and clinical observations
Qualifications
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, Equine anatomy, physiology, and restraint techniques
- Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is advantageous; familiarity with veterinary care is a plus
- Strong equine handling skills with the ability to manage horses confidently and safely
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately and follow aseptic procedures diligently
- Laboratory experience or familiarity with diagnostic testing procedures is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
