We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and highly skilled Middle School Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year, starting in September. This position is ideal for an educator who believes that every student can learn when provided with the right support, instruction, and relationships.
Our program focuses on small class sizes, individualized instruction, relationship building, and meeting students where they are academically and emotionally. Our students have a variety of learning styles, strengths, challenges, and instructional needs. The successful candidate will be comfortable adapting instruction and modifying lessons to help each student experience growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Middle School Math and ELA.
- Work with students in small groups and individualized settings to target specific academic needs.
- Assess student understanding and use data, observations, and student work to guide instruction.
- Modify and differentiate lessons, assignments, and instructional strategies to meet varying learning levels and styles.
- Meet students where they are and develop instructional approaches that build confidence, independence, and academic growth.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Create a structured, supportive, and predictable learning environment.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and establish clear expectations, routines, and procedures.
- Provide encouragement, patience, and consistent support to students who may struggle academically or behaviorally.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families as appropriate to support student success.
- Monitor student progress and communicate academic and behavioral concerns and successes.
- Encourage students to develop self-advocacy, perseverance, and a positive attitude toward learning.

Qualifications:
- Experience teaching middle school Math and/or ELA preferred.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and learning styles strongly preferred.
- NC teaching license NOT required
- A college degree is not required; however, a bachelor’s degree (any major) is preferred.
Pay: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
