EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position plays a vital role in supporting law enforcement operations by receiving, coordinating, and relaying important public safety information. It ensures that troopers have accurate and timely details to respond effectively to both emergency and non-emergency situations. As a Police Communications Operator, you will perform the following duties:

Call Handling: Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and gather essential information

Incident Dispatch: Relay details to troopers and coordinate responses with public safety partners

Record Management: Access and maintain data using the Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN), the Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET), the Protection from Abuse Database (PFAD), and electronic systems

Communication Support: Share updates with troopers and other operators during active incidents

Public Assistance: Respond to administrative inquiries and assist station visitors courteously
