American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift Ultrasound Technologist for an Emergency Department setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification.
-
Work in a hospital Emergency Department performing a wide variety of ultrasound scans
-
Adult, pediatric, obstetric, ICU, and NICU patient populations
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Friday through Sunday shift rotation
-
13-week assignment length

Cerner charting experience preferred
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography required
-
Current ARDMS and BLS certification required
-
License required if applicable
-
Proficiency in OB/GYN ultrasound including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scans, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and placenta previa
-
General ultrasound skills including abdominal aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen
-
Experience with renal/pelvis, bladder, hernia, ovaries, uterus, and vaginal ultrasound
-
Vascular ultrasound skills including lower and upper extremity venous studies and DVT of arms and legs
-
Experience with small parts, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid ultrasound
-
Proficiency with PACS, Philips, and Siemens equipment

Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
-
Must be able to perform portable ultrasound scans

Perform a wide range of ultrasound scans across multiple specialties including OB/GYN, general, vascular, and small parts imaging
-
Work within a fast-paced Emergency Department environment

Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results
-
Candidates should avoid CBD products and other substances that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival onsite
