Opportunity: Shipping Stager (3rd Shift)
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Shipping Stager is responsible for consolidating material based on customer releases and picklists, preparing material for shipment, and ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety standards are met throughout the staging process.
What You Will Do:
- Review the accuracy of all staged material according to picklists and releases.
- Ensure material is staged in a presentable manner and free from defects.
- Complete, verify, and return all picklists and releases requiring staging.
- Unload carts and scan material.
- Identify quality concerns and communicate defects to Shipping Clerks and Supervisors.
- Identify maintenance or safety concerns and lock out overhead cranes when necessary until issues are resolved.
- Follow all shipping and staging procedures.
- Safely operate overhead cranes and perform daily inspections.
- Provide feedback to supervisors and help identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with other shifts to improve staging processes and efficiency.
- Assist other departments during downtime as needed.

What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or steel industry experience preferred but not required.
- Experience operating overhead cranes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated attitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
You may be required to work around moving mechanical equipment and overhead cranes. The work environment is considered moderate to high noise and requires the use of proper personal protective equipment. Employees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
