Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and skilled Drop Bury Technician's to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting underground fiber optic cables and telecommunications infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the reliable delivery of high speed internet, telephony, and network services to our customers. Duties
- Install, bury, and secure fiber optic cables and telecommunications lines in outdoor environments following safety standards and technical specifications.
- use hand trencher and power tools safely and efficiently during installation projects.
- Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to troubleshoot fiber optic networks, identify faults, and perform splicing or repairs as needed.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute cable routes and infrastructure layouts.
- Conduct telecommunications testing to verify network integrity, signal quality, and proper functioning of fiber optic systems.
- Perform telecommunications outside plant operations including cable splicing, cable management, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support troubleshooting efforts for fiber optic networks, LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet connections, and other IT infrastructure components.
Requirements
- Monday - Friday.
- 40 dollars per completed drop.
- Travel position.
- Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Experience Technician's preferred. No experience, will train.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment when need, use hand trencher, and power tools safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Some knowledge of fiber optic cables installation, splicing techniques, and fiber network troubleshooting supported by familiarity with telecommunication testing equipment.
- Some understanding of telecommunications outside plant operations including cabling practices, schematics interpretation, and low voltage wiring.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on safety standards.
- Construction experience with telecommunications or engineering troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Climbing skills for pole work combined with knowledge of telephony systems is advantageous.
- Ability to use hand tools efficiently while maintaining safety standards; familiarity with diagnostic tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for technical troubleshooting support and collaboration with team members.
- Experience with Coax & Fiber preferred.

Pay: $240.00 - $320.00 per day
