Legacy Academy is seeking educators who see character development as the foundation of all learning and are committed to teaching with intention and high standards.
This is an afternoon role (Monday–Thursday, approximately 12/12:30–4:30 PM).
At Legacy Academy, character development is the foundation of all learning. We believe that who a student becomes is as important as what they learn. Teachers are responsible for explicitly teaching, modeling, and reinforcing character throughout the entire day: including during academic instruction, recess, transitions, and peer interactions. This is done through consistent expectations, shared language, and real-time coaching of student behavior and decision-making.
Our classrooms are multi-age and mastery-based, requiring teachers to support students working at different levels and paces simultaneously. Teachers actively monitor progress, provide targeted instruction, and maintain a structured, purposeful learning environment where students are both supported and held accountable.
This role is designed for educators who are serious about the joyful work of education: those who are reflective, coachable, and committed to continuous improvement. Teachers at Legacy are expected to take ownership of both the academic and character development of their students.Credential Requirements (including Certification and/or Education Requirements): No credential required, although preferred. Current enrollment in education or related subjects is also preferred. Also preferred:
- Background in elementary or middle school education
- Experience with differentiated or mastery-based instruction
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
