Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is passionate about providing quality care and support to individuals recovering from addiction and mental health challenges.
The LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care to residents according to their individualized treatment plans, administering medications and treatments as ordered by the medical staff, monitoring and documenting residents' vital signs, symptoms, and behaviors, assisting with the admissions process and orientation of new residents, collaborating with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care for residents, and participating in staff meetings, case conferences, and in-service trainings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to residents according to their individualized treatment plans, including but not limited to medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the medical staff, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with established protocols.
- Monitor and document residents' vital signs, symptoms, and behaviors, reporting any changes or concerns to the medical staff and treatment team.
- Assist with the admissions process and orientation of new residents, providing education and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and in-service trainings, contributing to the development of treatment plans and ensuring quality care for residents.
- Provide support and encouragement to residents in their recovery process, modeling appropriate behaviors and attitudes, and helping to create a therapeutic environment.
Requirements:
- Current LPN license in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of one year of experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff members.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to teamwork.
