Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00/9:00 AM–3:00/4:00 PM
Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience
Start Date: September 15, 2026
Travel: Domestic and international travel required

A warm, low-key family in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking an experienced Full-Time Private Chef to take ownership of the family’s meal planning, ingredient sourcing, and daily meal preparation.
The household includes three children, ages 8, 6, and 8 months, as well as two dogs. The family enjoys spending time together at home and places a strong emphasis on delicious, clean eating made with exceptionally high-quality ingredients.
They are looking for a Chef who genuinely enjoys creating flavorful, nourishing meals and understands that healthy food should still be something the entire family looks forward to eating.
The family also travels to their residences in Florida, Michigan, and the United Kingdom during school breaks, and the Chef will travel with them as needed.
- Plan and prepare fresh breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family during the workweek
- Create delicious, clean-eating meals using fresh, premium-quality ingredients
- Develop weekly menus based on the family’s preferences, schedules, and nutritional goals
- Prepare additional meals for the family to enjoy over the weekend, including fully prepared meals that can easily be reheated and served, healthy grab-and-go options, and prepared components that make weekend meals simple and convenient
- Source exceptional fresh, seasonal, organic, and specialty ingredients whenever appropriate
- Identify and utilize excellent local markets, farms, butchers, fishmongers, specialty purveyors, and other trusted food sources
- Handle grocery shopping and ingredient procurement
- Prepare meals that appeal to both adults and children while maintaining the family’s clean-eating preferences
- Thoughtfully package, label, and store prepared meals for easy use
- Accommodate changing schedules, children’s activities, guests, and family needs
- Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Manage pantry, refrigerator, freezer, and household food inventory
- Properly store and rotate ingredients and minimize food waste
- Prepare meals for occasional guests and small-scale entertaining
- Travel with the family domestically and internationally as needed
- Coordinate ingredient sourcing, menu planning, and kitchen needs while traveling
Maintain complete discretion and professionalism within the family’s private residences

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced Private Chef with a proven background working within private homes and a genuine passion for clean eating, exceptional ingredients, and outstanding food.
This Chef understands how to create health-conscious meals that are flavorful, satisfying, and approachable for the entire family. They have excellent knowledge of ingredient quality and take pride in sourcing the best available produce, proteins, seafood, and specialty products.
The right candidate will be calm, warm, organized, proactive, and comfortable becoming a trusted presence within a family home. They should be able to anticipate the family’s needs, work independently, and adapt easily as schedules and preferences change.
- Previous professional Private Chef experience within a private household is required
- Significant experience preparing daily meals for a family
- Excellent culinary skills and strong knowledge of clean, health-conscious cuisine
- Demonstrated ability to create nutritious food that is also highly flavorful and appealing
- Exceptional knowledge of premium ingredient sourcing and food quality
- Experience cooking for both adults and children
- Ability to plan and prepare meals ahead for weekends and grab-and-go needs
- Strong menu-planning, purchasing, and organizational skills
- Excellent food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
- Experience managing grocery shopping, pantry inventory, and food purchasing
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Comfortable working in a household with children and two dogs
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
